Kakoune is a code editor somewhat similar to the Vim editor. It features an easy modal editor, fast and optimized keystroking, multiple selection options and an orthogonal design. It can operate in two modes, normal (keys are used to manipulate the current selection and to enter insertion mode) and insertion (where the keys are directly inserted into the current buffer).
