While I’d love to use the wonderful HTML5 placeholder attribute for all of my projects, sadly it just doesn’t work across all browsers.This is a simple plugin that takes the name of form elements and creates a placeholder from them. At the moment, it accepts textareas and inputs but can easily expanded.It also is browser compatible back to IE7.Please feel free to take a look at the code to see how I’ve made this thing tick!
